Thank you for your interest in GPC’s Walk and Talk Series! For health and safety reasons we are limiting our group sizes. Although our birding tour is full, we’ll be posting dates and details for upcoming events soon! Stay tuned! 

 

Calling all birders!

Join us at Hansville Greenway for GPC’s kick-off Walk and Talk event!

The tour will be lead by GPC stewardship manager Adrian Wolf and field ornithologist Dan Froehlich! Enjoy Hansville Greenway’s forests, wetlands, and learn about the birds who call it home. What’s more, there is exciting news on the horizon for new additions to the Greenway landscape — don’t miss out!

  • The walk will be 2.5 miles with an option of a shorter turnaround.
  • The terrain is flat and even.
  • Bring binoculars, water bottle, and your best birding questions.

About the event guides

Adrian Wolf joined GPC as the stewardship manager in March 2021 and is committed to maintaining and improving the ecological integrity of natural ecosystems. He has over 25 years of professional experience working with threatened and endangered habitats, and the species that depend on them. Adrian has extensive experience handling birds through ecological research studies including his Master’s work at Evergreen State College on bird use of epiphytes in an old-growth coniferous forest. 

Dan Froehlich is a field ornithologist and tour guide who is enthusiastic about expanding society’s comprehension of birds by understanding their biology, sharing their magnificence, and exploring human-wildlife interactions. Dan’s expertise in bird capture and handling have made him a valuable asset to many population dynamic and monitoring studies across the globe including North, Central, and South America, Europe, Siberia, West & East Africa, Madagascar, Borneo, and Australia!
