Klingel Wetlands Work Party

July 16, 2021, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Great Peninsula Conservancy and Beards Cove Community Organization (BCCO) in taking action to remove scotch broom at Klingel Wildlife Refuge! This is our second work party in the Klingel Wetlands & Beards Cove Stewardship Series, and our last effort to remove as much invasive scotch broom we can in preparation for fall planting.

With your help, GPC can prepare this site for a restoration effort that partners with Natural Resources Conservation Service and Western Washington University to restore native, climate-resilient species in this special shoreline habitat.

Be sure to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, and bring a mask, water bottle, and lunch. GPC will bring the rest!
