GPC Legacy Member Highlight: Paul & Anne Kundtz

Paul & Anne Kundtz

Paul’s love for nature began decades ago in the breathtaking landscapes of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Now, as President of the Board at Great Peninsula Conservancy, he and his wife, Anne, are committed to ensuring that future generations can experience the same natural beauty that has shaped their lives. Their dedication to conservation has led them to make a bequest to GPC—an investment in protecting the lands and waters of our region for years to come. Here’s why they chose to leave a lasting impact.

Nearly 50 years ago, Anne and I met, worked, hiked and were married in and around Rocky Mountain National Park where our love for nature blossomed. Over the years, however, we have watched how a tremendous increase in our country and world’s population has caused a massive conversion of our natural lands to residential use and commercial development. We are alarmed that humans and other species are experiencing a decline in health, happiness, and quality of life due to this growth. Without action, future generations will not enjoy the many benefits of nature that we have been so fortunate to experience.

In response, we have given time and money to land and water conservation organizations to help save nature in its many forms. Our philosophy of thinking globally, acting locally has brought us to Great Peninsula Conservancy. GPC is a highly effective conservation and environmental education organization. We have volunteered our time and given money annually to advance its mission. Recently, we have committed to a Legacy Gift in our wills to help ensure that GPC’s work continues for a long time. There is so much more land that can and should be conserved, and we are confident that GPC will wisely use our Legacy Gift. This gift provides us with a sense of purpose and satisfaction. We hope that it will inspire others to do the same.

Paul and Anne’s Legacy Gift ensures that the lands they love will be protected for generations to come. You, too, can make a lasting impact by including Great Peninsula Conservancy in your will or estate plans. A bequest is a powerful way to safeguard our region’s natural beauty, wildlife, and open landscapese for the future.
