Walk and Talk: Kayak Tour of Carpenter/Crabapple Creek Estuary
July 20 , 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Location: Kingston Boat Launch, Kingston, Washington
Help us celebrate the integration of Stillwaters Environmental Center as a program of GPC. Check out our full event schedule for the July 19th-20th weekend HERE.
Join us on Saturday, July 20th from 5-7:30 pm for a BYO kayak tour of Carpenter/Crabapple Creek Estuary. We’ll take advantage of high tide to explore the waters that Stillwaters Environmental Center has called home for so many years, learn about Stillwaters’ transition to become a program of GPC, and explore the possibility of conserving an additional 50 acres of estuary in the Kingston community!
Accessibility: Please BYO kayak, paddle, and personal flotation device. From the Kingston Boat Launch, the paddle to the estuary is approximately a mile and a half (estimated 45 minutes at average pace). Additional parking and boat put-in is available at Arness Park, from here the paddle is approximately a half mile (estimated 15 minutes at average pace). High tide is anticipated to be +11.2 at 6:39 pm so we should be traveling with the tide both ways.
Additional information about parking and boat launch sites will be provided to attendees who RSVP.
