Tree Planting at Tahuya River Preserve
October 25 , 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Tahuya, WA
Calling all tree enthusiasts! Come out with GPC to do a fall tree planting at the Tahuya Preserve! Enjoy the beauty of Klingel while participating in a tree-planting project. You’ll have the chance to learn about the local ecosystem, the importance of reforestation, and how this project fits into broader conservation efforts.
This is a part of a larger restoration project in partnership with the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group (HCSEG By planting native trees and restoring the landscape, you’ll be supporting the health of the ecosystem for generations to come. The trees planted will provide shade, reduce erosion, and improve water quality—all essential factors for supporting salmon populations and other local wildlife. You can help make a lasting difference!
Contact: Reach out to GPC’s Community Stewardship Fellow, Wendy Witte, with any questions (wendy@greatpeninsula.org).
Registration for this event will open one month prior to the event date.
