Welcome to Newberry Woods Community Forest! Join Great Peninsula Conservancy, your local land trust, to explore this new 200-acre preserve. We’re going to hike through the forest, learn about the history of the land use, and discuss the current forest health.
What is a community forest? We’ll discuss the term and cover examples of other community forest models. Join us to tour the property in conjunction with our three-part Community Forest Planning Meeting series. This second forest tour will explore the site using the objectives and community benefits brainstormed in the first planning meeting.
