Beards Cove Work Party

June 25, 2021, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Great Peninsula Conservancy and Beards Cove Community Organization (BCCO) in taking action to remove scotch broom at Klingel-Bryan-Beard Wildlife Refuge! This is our first work party in the Klingel Wetlands & Beards Cove Stewardship Series.

GPC’s stewardship team will work with volunteers and community members to remove invasive scotch broom in preparation for fall planting. With your help, GPC can prepare this site for a restoration effort that partners with Natural Resources Conservation Service and Western Washington University to restore native, climate-resilient species in this special shoreline habitat.

Be sure to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, and bring a mask, water bottle, and lunch. GPC will bring the rest!
