2025 Salmon in the Classroom Volunteer Training #1

March 4 , 10:00 am 12:00 pm

The Salmon in the Classroom program at Clear Creek in Silverdale needs volunteers for elementary school field trips in March. No experience necessary! Click here to learn more about this exciting hands-on environmental education program.

Attend a volunteer training and learn how to support student engagement through four fiend trip stations: water quality, stream bugs, habitat, and salmon release.

RSVP for a training that works best for you. All three trainings cover the same material, no need to attend more than one. All volunteers must attend one training and consent to a background check.

Training Dates:

  • Tuesday, March 4th: 10am – 12pm
  • Tuesday, March 4th: 1pm – 3pm
  • Saturday. March 8th: 10am-12pm

Training Location: Clear Creek Trail (Silverdale Rotary Gateway Park), 11601 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale, WA

RSVP by February 28th.

2025 field trips will take place March 11 – April 2. Morning and afternoon volunteer opportunities available. Specific dates and time coming soon.

Registration Details: We at GPC are rolling out new processes for our wonderful volunteers. One of the big things to streamline our volunteer onboarding is using a volunteer management system called Bloomerang. Bloomerang allows volunteers to self-select into whichever opportunity you want to show up for while also allowing you to track your hours, connect with staff, and receive all the details of the opportunity in one place.
