The Recreation and Conservation Office created a new Community Forests Program, and the North Kitsap Divide Block and Newberry Forest are just two of the projects up for funding during this #waleg session!

Hey ya'll. This here critter is the tiny, but terr Hey ya'll. This here critter is the tiny, but terrifying zebra mussel. It is a highly invasive species that outcompetes native mussels and does incredible damage not just to our environment, but to our economy, too (for real). Luckily it is not yet in WA state. #WDFD wants eveyone who bought a Marimo moss ball to check your aquarium for these little mollusks and if you find them, make sure they don't get into our waterways.
